Unfortunately I did not see any feedback from other customers regarding this issue before placing this order. The flash coil itself is only 8 inches tall. I think they counted the tape when they ordered it and measured it to the nearest 9 inches, but who does that? As you can see in my drawing, the blue zip is from this order and the gold zip is the standard Coats and Clark zip. If you have a project that requires a 9 inch zipper, you need a 9 inch zipper, not an 8 inch zipper. To be honest I then saw in the fine print "★ SIZE: The zipper is approximately 9 inches full length and approximately 8 inches from the bottom to the top of the zipper. ". Very good value for money but the quality is so-so. Some stick and snag on the end, others seem to close smoothly. These are going back.
