Excellent product. I have found many uses for it. Clothing, even if dry cleaned, will eventually need help. Shirts, jackets, etc. This product works great. I use them several times a week, especially on collars. Even with a stand-up collar, this product gives a sharp/crisp look that makes it look more professional. in person or via work calls/video. Good product. I always have in stock. As for damage to shirts I haven't had any but I will say I left one on the bottom of the collar and then sent the shirt to the dry cleaner and left a small mark on the bottom of the collar (dry cleaning reaction). Nothing was visible as the tag is under the collar. Once you buy them you will find many uses. I've tried magnetic ones - and ALWAYS lost the magnet. I've tried the ones that are mind stickers and they don't work properly. This product is excellent.
