Problem solved!
These "spacers" worked very well. I only had to remove about a millimeter of material from the four posts to install them, but that was easily done with a sheet of 120 grit sandpaper. Depending on the manufacturer of your replacement LED headlight, you may not need to remove any material. However, make sure you know how to remove the notched base so that this "spacer" can be placed behind it.
