prevents easy slipping

I use it on different furniture surfaces. They work like a charm for my wooden kitchen table, I am very happy with the difference they have made. I can still easily move the table when I want to move it, but it doesn't slide around all over the place like it does without the pad. Of note is the fact that these pads don't "give" in the sense that they don't form around the underside of a chair or table that has a small round piece of plastic attached to it. I was able to trim them with no problem. They stick well, but not so much that they can't be removed.
