Be careful with the comb stitching

Oh my god. I spend more money trying to find a decent product. I've done a lot of research on this tarpaulin. I think he checked every field except quality control. He arrived today. Carefully unpacked and checked. I've started trying out some regular backyard tarps as shown in various YouTube videos. Everything was fine once the perimeter hinges were secured. Then I tried using a trekking pole on the stitched line of the skate for support. I know it might be too crowded so I proceeded cautiously. I loosened the bar all the way to reach the top and RRRRRRpppp. What? After inspection I understand why it failed. The sewn loop is approximately 3/4" wide and the ridge seal is approximately 1/2" wide. The buttonhole has a fairly heavy zigzag bar to attach it which is nice BUT it made enough holes in the material that wasn't doubled or tripled to form a seam so basically he has it like a knife cut. Damn damn damn. I stopped right there. I wrapped it in a garbage bag and threw it in the trash can. Spring. Again a poor quality product. I'm not expecting miracles, but I expect it to last longer than thirty minutes. After a while, however, I pulled it out of the basket again. I'll probably try to salvage it by using a strip of tape in a few places along the spine line, I believe there are five of these to serve as another means of supporting the fabric. As I see it, this is one way to fix it. must have a comb seam that is at least 2.5 cm wide, and even better 1.5 cm, maybe even 1.5 cm. This should be the strongest part of the tarp as this is where the two halves meet. Good. World, R.L
