Great for reptile bedding

I use this for bedding for four 5 ft. snakes. Great odor and moisture absorbancy. Moisture that hits the coir tends to clump, but not solidly. I soften mine up in a 14 gallon poly barrel by jamming the brick into the base (it just fits), and then filling with water to over the top of the brick. By the morning, the entire brick has absorbed the water and can be broken up. Most bricks do not break up so easily, so this was nice to see. I had enough coir from this one 10 lb. brick to fill 3 55-gallon (48x12x21) aquariums to a depth of about 3 1/2 -4 inches.
