*Too* Sturdy

Neck is very durable. It took considerable effort to bend it while holding the piece. Once he was on the table, it became almost impossible. Between the effort required (which made me feel like I was messing up my desk) and neck parts that couldn't or shouldn't move, it seemed useless. width, is not flexible, therefore acts like a lever on a strong metal bracket. Thanks for the sturdy clamp, but it's a little larger than some tables will fit (depth not thickness, front bar under the table and the back bar pushes the table over a quarter inch from the wall). The neck has a ball joint that attaches to the mount with a plastic bushing that tightens with a plastic threaded clamp. This gives about 15 degrees of rotation, allowing the tablet to rotate freely between portrait and landscape modes. Unfortunately, the neck is so stiff that you have to adjust the tablet's position by reaching up to the neck and adjusting it. Attempting to move the tablet directly may damage the mount. There is good leverage around the neck and the sturdy clip made me feel like I was going to break my desk adjusting it with one hand. The neck was a little looser after I took it off and kept bending it a little. In this context, I should mention that the block must be assembled before it is attached. Unlike folding lamps, where the lamp falls down, the neck of this device screws into the clamp. Depending on your installation, it may be inconvenient to attach the holder. The device is well designed compared to many things I've seen in consumer electronics, but it's too rigid, especially for my needs. I became immediately concerned when I tried to adjust the angle and heard the plastic crackle. (Can't find any damage.) To be honest it takes quite a bit to hold even a light tablet to keep it from sagging or wobbling, but my tablet isn't that heavy. I couldn't even twist the bar back into the loop it entered. I think there's more room for flex in the neck, but I applaud the manufacturer/designer for making a solid, well-built piece if so many were going for it. cheap and disposable. For $20 I decided to wait a bit and see how it works.
