I LOVE these jugs! After spending a lot of money on infused mineral water, I decided I had to make it myself. I tried two other brands before settling on this one. First, they contain more liquid. Second, they have a nice wide base so they don't feel like tipping over in the fridge. Third, the glass is a good thickness and the overall construction feels solid so I'm not paranoid about washing it. Fourth, the pivoting spout opening lid is good. Some people have complained about removing the brewing cylinder, but it's the same mechanism as the other jugs and works fairly easily.
