I have a Samsung Smart TV that is a few years old and the apps are very slow as I believe they are no longer updated on my model. For example, I still have the old slow version of Hulu and Netflix takes a long time to load because of the automatic video previews. This item was great and really upgraded the TV. Not only is it fast and responsive, but it also has significantly better image quality compared to the built-in apps. It's a huge improvement, and it's great if you've got a decent 1080p TV. If you have a 4k TV I would probably recommend a more expensive model or even an Apple TV 4k. However, if all you want is a fast and responsive streaming device for a 1080p device, you can't go wrong with this one.
