Do not use as a charger. REDUCES actually the battery!

I was very pleased with this USB extender/splitter. My plan was to use it to charge multiple devices from a single USB. I connected my phone and tablet and was very disappointed. The tablet shows that the charger is connected, but there's a red X over the battery icon, indicating it's not actually charging. I tested this cable plugged directly into the original USB (which this new 4 port charger was plugged into) and it works fine. My phone gave me a message that it was "charging slowly" and…

Doesn't work with accessories - why bother?

My work computer has Windows 7. When I ran out of ports I went with this one because it was specifically stated to be compatible. Package received, connected. Nothing worked, not even things that worked fine when plugged directly into my computer. I saw that the drivers are not needed (nice), the so-called support. They said that this device does not work with accessories such as headphones, keyboards and mice - only USB for data transfer. Why do you need to transfer data from 4 sources at the…

Great little USB hub. I like the fact that it has blue LED buttons to toggle individual ports on and off. I was hoping to get a model with a power supply hole and I actually got this model! (Model HB-UMLS) NO. Nothing was specified on the packaging and the instructions included as to what type of power supply I need. The hole for this is 5mm but I need to see what exact voltage and current I need. a scanner and a second laser mouse, which don't use that much power anyway, mostly data). I…

High quality and low price

I was amazed at the quality of this device (and I'm a gadget geek). It has reliable USB connections. There is nothing fluffy and sugary in it. I taped it to the front of my tower computer. Looks very solid and works. I'm an amateur photographer and I always turn one off to use for something else. That saved me from many disappointments. I can even leave the cables plugged into the hub and just turn off the LED power switches so I don't have to hunt for cables anymore. I've been using it…

Works well, LEDs should be isolated better

I bought this USB 2 hub instead of a USB 3 hub, mainly to connect wireless dongles which can suffer from interference when plugged into the USB 3 port which is handy when troubleshooting compatibility or when devices need to be turned off and on again to work again, or simply turn off a device that you don't need at the moment. I connected this hub to one of my motherboard's USB 2 ports using a 10" USB 3 extension cable. Everything I've connected so far works fine: - Corsair Gaming K70 LUX RGB…

It was cool? for networking products

When I first received this little hub, I was impressed. It was just the right size, had 4 hubs and separate on/off switches. I use hubs a lot as I am preparing my book for manuscript and my laptop only has 2 ports and I need one for my fan so I was happy to get this hub. But the romance soon faded as the hub started heating up and kept heating up, heating up my USBs. Now I'm finding corrupted documents that I'm trying to complete for my manuscript. When I drag a document with a title, it opens…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Security

I bought two of these to solve the same problem many people have when building a PC today - the lack of old USB 2.0 ports on the case itself. I have one for my PC Bought an internal NZXT USB hub to keep it out of sight and attention for a neater look for my wireless keyboard/mouse, but I like to use it for others I build computers for as they don't want to open the case and didn't have one Idea how to even loosen anything from the circuit board. This little device is perfect for attaching with…

Dead after 16 months of normal use and Sabrent refuses to fix it!

It died without warning after 16 months of normal use. personal computer I've tried all possible troubleshooting steps and nothing seems to work. I even tested it on another PC that I've never seen before and the same problem. I have contacted Sabrent through their support system (via email) but they don't want to get it right. I think they know they are selling rubbish and until the limited warranty runs out they just won't help you. I originally bought this unit but they just ignore it - I…

It died without notice after 16 months of normal use. All ports are dead - the LEDs are still on when I press the button, but that doesn't connect the device to the PC. Suitable for mouse and keyboard, BAD FOR LAN, WIFI, HD, SSD

. I've had occasional issues with wifi loss, sometimes for a split second, sometimes completely (see photo). I thought it was my wireless adapter so I bought a new one. It seemed to help at first, but later I saw suggestions including versions of this exact USB hub except maybe 2 or 3 different companies. Then my wheels started turning. I looked at the reviews on this and saw that the issue keeps popping up in the reviews. People using these hubs have had problems transferring large files to…

Works fine, LEDs should be better insulated.

I bought this USB 2 hub instead of a USB 3 hub primarily to connect wireless dongles that can suffer from interference when plugged into the USB 3 port. The buttons come in handy especially when troubleshooting compatibility issues or if devices need to be cycled turn it on to get back to work, or just turn off a device you don't need right now. I connected this hub to one of my motherboard's USB 2 ports using a 10" USB 3 extension cable. Everything I've connected so far works fine: - Corsair…
