Mounted on 1/2 inch plywood that has six lag bolts into the studs on the wall. Feels sturdy. wouldn't recommend installing without some sort of solid wood backing. I had read in other reviews not to use the lag bolts for the hooks that come with it. Just go pick some up at the hardware store for a couple of dollars. I bought these 15 pound pull door catches to replace the hardware on our original 1950s closet door (23"W x 79"H, hollow core oak). They install easily and do what they say, but next time I'd get the next heavier magnet with a stronger pull weight. They hold the door closed, but you have to push the door closed all the way before the magnet does its job (no giving it a general push in the right direction for the magnet to pull it closed the rest of the way).See full review

Water pressure not reduced, water is not filtered taste is AWFUL, we have used name brand PUR with great results. Tried these knew right off the bat something was wrong when water was not filling filter and pressure reduced because of filtering. Pets stopped drinking water after 2 days. That's when I tasted it and our old pipe problem of metal taste was there. We use a very good house filter for our use but have pets in 2 locations with sinks and am used to using PUR filter. I needed to replace my handheld shower head because the last one got dropped and cracked. It came boxed very well. Nothing was broken cracked, or missing. I adapted the new filtered shower head into my original holder so I still have my 2 showers. It was easy to install since it came with rubber gaskets for the connection.
