Very cool and space saving

Mounted on 1/2 inch plywood that has six lag bolts into the studs on the wall. Feels sturdy. wouldn't recommend installing without some sort of solid wood backing. I had read in other reviews not to use the lag bolts for the hooks that come with it. Just go pick some up at the hardware store for a couple of dollars. One of the bolts had bad threading on it and didn't work so i had to find a replacement at the hardware store.Likes:- Feels sturdy- Saves space- Multiple functionsDislikes:- Coating

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Could be unstable and unsafe if not installed properly

Sturdy, extra hardware required for drywall/stud mounting.

This is a well build piece of equipment. I feel completely confident that it won’t fail and that is important in any piece of home gym equipment. I purchased a 8ft 2x8 and 16 3 inch lag screws to mount this to. Cut the board into 4 equal 38 inch boards (there will be some left over) and mount to your studs. I mounted the 4 included hooks using 2 1/2 inch lag screws. Please note that the included hardware for mounting is for concrete/ brick applications only. So you will need to supply your own…

Solid, comfortable, and multi-functional system

This is a solid piece of workout equipment. I installed it on drywall using a 1in x 6in x 6ft pine board cut in half to give 3ft runners between each side of the bar and the wall studs. Used 6x, 3 1/2in, 3/8 lag bolts on each runner, the top 4 also going through the hangers. This combination gave just enough room to operate the system as a pull up bar and dip station when on the lower hanger (the top hanger needs to be close to the top of the 3ft runners). The system is comfortable to use, and…

Solid Construction, useless wall mounts

I agree with many of the other comments here that the overall construction is excellent, but the wall mounts are worthless. Sturdy and solid metal platform once assembled, but the mounts for a concrete wall are absolutely a waste. After drilling holes and installing the mounts into a solid concrete wall by following the directions, both sides pulled away from the wall immediately. No hold whatsoever, so I threw them out and used some concrete screws that I had in my garage from a different…

Pros
  • Provides a full upper body workout
Cons
  • Could cause strain on the lower back if exercises are done incorrectly

Great Product, Requires wood backing for drywall

Happy with the product so far. This workout bar/system works really well for my small space.I put lags directly into studs and that is holding up fine, but where the pads push again the drywall is not. I’m going to have to put in a wood backing to strengthen the drywall and spread out the pressure when I’m doing dips. I’m 5’9 180lbs for reference.Update: I mounted two vertical 5/4” boards (if I remember right. it was in my garage stock) and that is working great. Everything is solid and I love…

Pros
  • Space-saving design: Doesn't require a lot of clearance space.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for users with balance issues

Best single piece I have for home workout

I love this thing. It is the foundation on which I built my home gym. It allows for a complete upper body workout using body weight. By hanging a set of gymnastics rings on it you add another level of diversity to your training. It also gives a secure point to attack exercise bands. No more trying to hook a band to a door for an awkward band workout. Simply throw them over the bar and get after it. Being able to hang the unit at multiple heights gives you more options for more than just dips or

Pros
  • No need to go to a gym to complete your workout.

  • May not be suitable for users with ankle issues

Most Useful Workout Equipment

I have a gym near my house but i still prefer to buy the equipment and this is the best think i have bought. It is really easy to use and is like a 5 in 1 tool. The setup and the assembly of the equipment was really easy and quick. I assembled the equipment in around 30 minutes by myself. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand and follow along. The mounting part on the other hand was a bit difficult for me. Even though it is told in the instructions book to mount it on cement or…

Pros
  • Provides variety
Cons
  • May not be suitable for users with heart conditions

Hi all,For my experience, I had to buy new anchors and screws to hang it on my concrete wall. The anchors and screws it came with were not strong enough for me to feel comfortable. I bought some; Cobra screws 3 in x 3/8-in Concrete Anchors and a drill bit. Please, make sure you get the right drill bit for the job or it will take you twice as long to install it on your concrete wall. In the end, now it feels pretty sturdy.I’m 160lbs & 5’9”.I hope this will serve you of any help, If so let me…

Very Nice and sturdy pullup/Dip station

I'm really happy with this pullup bar and dip station combo rig. It's very sturdy and very nice quality, good welds and hardware. I made sure to install the mounting hooks in 2x4's anchored into my garage wall spanning two studs. This is very sturdy for me and doesn't tear the walls up. It's a great space saver which is what i was after. I don't lose any space in my garage. It literally takes 2 seconds to move it from the upper hooks for pull ups to the lower hooks for dips. There was no…

Careful with the bolts that go into the pads.

There are several of the short bolts that go into the pads.but also the upright handles. If you experience any binding or tightness if using them in the pads, swap them with the ones for the handles instead. If you keep tightening and they're not all the way in, you'll free up the blind-nut within the pad and it's impossible to correct the situation. (see picture) I'll update this review information once the seller can replace the back pad via separate request. Hope this helps someone…

Sturdy, works as advertised

Wroks as advertised. The hooks for the lower wall position to allow dips must be set to a narrower width than the top postiion or else the leg lift arm rests will hit the lower hooks. Unlike the top hooks, the lower narrower position for the hooks will not align with 16" space wall studs so you need to mount into wood or something else as others have posted. A more thoughtful design could eliminate this problem so this is why i'm only giving 4 stars. If the wall is drywall you definitely want…

Good but not great: my feedback

This bar is easy to assemble but a bit challenging to install. As is noted you need either masonry, concrete or to mount wood to the structure of a conventionally framed home. The challenge and the reason I only gave 4 stars as once assembled the equipment is not perfectly square and you must adjust the wall brackets to make the pull up bar and dip side level. It is only off by about a 1/4" - 1/2" but for a serious work out family that stuff matters. Also I weigh 220 and the dip bar does flex…

Pros
  • Versatile: Can be used for chin-ups, pull-ups, dips, and more.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for users with joint pain

Quality Product and Complete Workout!

After doing a ton of research I decided to go wall mounted just for a cleaner look and easier storage. My garage is drywall so after finding studs I used 5 1" x 12" solid pine stair treads and bolted them to the studs through the wall with 4 3-1/2" lag bolts per board. For the Hooks that actually hold the device I used 2-1/2" lag bolts. Got all the bolts at Lowe's for $25. It comes with concrete bolts so I just threw those out. The device itself is super easy to assemble and is super solid…

Pros
  • Can be used for warm-up or cool-down exercises: Perfect for pre-workout stretching or post-workout stretches.
Cons
  • Could be too low for taller users to reach

Definitely worth the money

Solid product. Several workouts are possible and it takes up very little space. Gyms are shut down where I live and fitness equipment has gone up 500% for used and new is hard to find. This is a great addition to a home gym. The negative is that I had to go buy lag bolts to go into studs in the wall. They recommend going to masonry but studs are totally fine if you use the correct hardware.

Pros
  • Ideal for apartments, homes with limited space, or shared living spaces.
Cons
  • Could be prone to rust if located in a humid area

Beast-Mode Pullup Device

Bottom Line:Beast-Mode Pullup DevicePros:Great QualityDurablePortableMulti-FunctionalComfortableWell BuiltCons:Wall Material DependentAdditional Details:This is a great pull-up and dip station device. You will need to ensure you have the proper wall material to connect this to.Cinder Block is probably not the best approach, as the hollowness with cinders allows for vulnerable points in the blocks. You are better off with solid brick, if you have concrete walls.I have installed this in the…

Worthy purchase for my opinion

A number of years back I had made a pull-up bar of black iron pipe hanging in the basement prior to this that didn’t get much use. This wall mounted unit is more inviting and functional. It is certainly sturdy enough and offers multiple exercises. The outer pull-up grip gives you a work out with its wide position. I have used this unit everyday since installing it. I look forward to that portion of my workout. Most important important thing is understanding it does not come with wall mount…

Pros
  • Encourages consistency: Provides a convenient way to stick to a workout routine.
Cons
  • Could cause unwanted damage to any objects that may be behind the equipment

Key is how it’s installed!

The equipment itself is easy to assemble and is sturdy. How you mount it is what matters the most. That’s where the true sturdiness comes into play.I did it like many did, using 4’ pine wood slabs put in a 2x3 grid and used 3/8”x5” lag screws drilled into studs. The grid pattern of the pine blocks allows for better weight distribution and each one of those 3/8” dia lag screws can easily hold 200lbs per inch of thread in.So far, I find the unit sturdy and safe to do pull ups pulling with almost…

Pros
  • Comfortable: Provides padded grips for comfort during exercises.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for users with disabilities

Nice little piece of kit

Getting a home gym together again as I used to go to the gym because I nixed my old home gym equipment to get out of the house instead. Now with this covid nonsense I'm building a home gym again. This piece is actually really sturdy and versatile. I weigh 250lbs. and I don't feel like it's dangerous to use. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a good piece of kit for their home gym. I had a little bit of $$ and time in building a frame to mount it on in my situation but it was easy for a…

Pros
  • Portable: Can be moved to different locations within the home.
Cons
  • Limited room for functional training exercises

Pretty easy to assemble, and mount to the wall. A concrete wall is best for sturdiness. If you enjoy pull ups and dips without the hastle of going to the gym and don't have any where around the house to use as a pull up bar it's a pretty good purchase. It's also lighter than it looks to move from one position to the other for various exercises. Looks exactly like the image mounted up.

Pros
  • Targeted exercises can support weight loss goals.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for users with neck issues

This was what I was hoping it would be! Sturdy, yet light enough that it’s easy to switch from pull-ups to dips. It’s definitely a step up from most "consumer home gym” equipment, it feels substantial. Easy enough to set up. I bolted the hangers to wood boards drilled into wall studs. This isn’t described in the manual (which only describes drilling into concrete/brick, and the included hardware is only for that also), but it was easy enough to figure out, and it feels solid. Very happy with…
