. I've had occasional issues with wifi loss, sometimes for a split second, sometimes completely (see photo). I thought it was my wireless adapter so I bought a new one. It seemed to help at first, but later I saw suggestions including versions of this exact USB hub except maybe 2 or 3 different companies. Then my wheels started turning. I looked at the reviews on this and saw that the issue keeps popping up in the reviews. People using these hubs have had problems transferring large files to and from external storage (flash drives, external hard drives, etc.). So I did an experiment. I connected the new Wi-Fi to this hub, connected the old Wi-Fi directly to the computer, and continuously pinged each one (one at a time, not both). Of course, the new one gave similar results as in the photo, and the old one worked smoothly, not a single return slower than 25ms. So this center was obviously the culprit. I didn't have this problem when I got it in March and it started working in mid-July. I'd give that 2 stars but people won't buy a hub unless they're transferring data (wi-fi, hd, flash keychain etc) and even at this price point it's not what you need. whenever you want.

Pros
  • Smart design to be as thin as possible, so you can make the most of your precious workspace or travel comfortably.
Cons
  • It was possible to choose a newer model
