Plug and Play. This dock was connected to a MacBook Pro with a USB-C connector, connected to an HDMI monitor with an HDMI cable, and connected to an Ethernet network with an RJ-45 cable. it worked right away. Gets the job done. I have charged two devices simultaneously with this hub adapter through my MacBook Air and also through my Mac Mini. Both worked well with no noticeable slowdown in loading speeds. With a little troubleshooting, I was also able to use the HDMI port to mirror my Apple TV from my laptop to my Roku smart TV (which is too old to support the Apple TV app). It has a fixed dual USB-C port that fits my 2018 MacBook Pro (even with the included case!) and instantly connects to all essentials (mouse and keyboard) while also powering my computer and iPhone provided.
