I was cautiously optimistic about this holder: it was lightweight and seemed easy enough to use. I do complain that the mic stands I've used are flimsy and even with the internal clamp installed I had to use tape to add bulk and even in the tightest position it's not exactly secure. As a result, I may have overtightened and stripped the threads a little. Also, the rotating ball that holds the iPad in my preferred position doesn't have enough angle to tilt up like I'd like, and it doesn't stay tight enough to hold its position. Luckily, it works pretty well and doesn't require a lot of investment. As a live musician I really hope that I can find a device that is not too expensive and does what I need it to do.
