I ran into some problems setting up this adapter. First note that this adapter will work, but only if you have a newer T2 XTR rack. I had an older T2 - it's about 5-6 years old. The problem is that the ratchet arm that goes over your front wheel doesn't reach far enough to go through the fat tire. I called Tula and they confirmed it. Apparently the old struts have shorter levers than the new ones. So I have to buy a new extension cord for this adapter to work. They don't have this information on their product page so I wasn't happy. A new lever costs $50-60 plus the time it takes to install. Second, the wheel house adapter is screwed to the shock absorber instead of the original. The problem is that the screw-in part consists of a short and flimsy plastic socket. Both of mine broke with the slightest tightening. I don't know if it was just a marriage or if it was a manufacturing defect. But I barely started tightening and both broke. So now I'm going through the warranty process with Thule for a new adapter. All in all not a very good experience. Be aware before you buy it. If you have a newer rack, this probably won't be a problem for you. Just be very careful when screwing the wheel in well. In my opinion they should have used a stronger piece.
