Safer morning runs

I used to run in a bright yellow safety vest and put a flashing red light in my breast pocket so I could be seen. I didn't have anything to help me see better, and that limited me to walking in the dark on less than half of the streets around me. For example: This light definitely helps brighten up my early morning runs. The light went far and wide enough that early in the morning I could see creatures (raccoons, dogs, cats, etc.) and people on the driveway/porch, not just once on the sidewalk or under streetlights. It also helps other people (mostly drivers) better understand that I'm there (usually running into cars near the curb) long before we're close enough for either or both of us to move. I like the red light on the back and the comfortable strap. Minor annoyances: I felt chest pains every few miles in a dry-fitting shirt, but haven't adjusted the belt tension or run with a cotton shirt yet. I also found the headlight positioning bounced nicely when running. This is only an issue if you have specific requirements or desires regarding the direction of your light source, as the total arc of motion isn't that great. It was more of a thing that I noticed than a problem for me (walking on the flat surface of neighboring streets). I would appreciate the front light being red for runners visibility on foggy or foggy days and also in daylight. That being said, I've only seen this feature on headlights that I didn't want.
