Review on 🐠 Boyd Enterprises Chemi-Pure Blue Aquarium Filtration Media, 11-Ounce (2 Pack) by Jamie Smith

I have been using Chemi Pure Blue in my 100 gallon saltwater aquarium for a while and have never had a problem with it and am very happy with the product. When I last ordered I opened the containers and noticed that they smell like fish, I didn't think anything of it at the time. I flushed the filters before installing them. The next day my tank was cloudy! I did a quick water test and my nitrates were through the roof! I had a strong bacterial infection. I pulled both dry cleaning bags out of my filter and threw them in the bin. Flowering lasted 24 hours. Unfortunately I lost my beloved fiery angels and the wrasse fairy. All my other fish survived. I've since ordered more Chemi Pure and they don't smell of anything when I open the containers. Do not use if opening the container smells like fish! You could dispose of your entire aquarium and potentially deal with the loss of fish.
