This is a powerful and quiet little pump. The out put is adjustable which is great as I don't always need the 8 ft. lift. Before I got this pump I had to empty 4 five gallon buckets of water every two weeks while performing water changes in my aquariums by hand and small bucket. Powerful pump. I have it in my 100 gallon pond houses in a filtration rectangular container. My pond is not built in, it is a patio pond that I buried in the ground. Pumps the waterfall up 2.5-3.5 feet and makes my waterfall look amazing. Even flow and strong. The only reasons I am giving 4 stars is because it seems to have a strong vibration, that I can feel in the water whenever I stick my hand in it and when I am touching my pond container. I hope it doesn't stress out my fish too much.

Bought pump as return for my sump. It has worked flawlessly since I've had it. It pumps the advertised amount very closely and is fairly quiet as my aquarium is in my bedroom. It is a great pump. Actually a bit too powerful/strong for this fountain. It is quiet, all we hear is the waterfall. It didn't come with directions, but the internet had plenty to offer. We have run it steady for weeks and it still works great.

I am using this for a fountain with reservoir dug in underground and is near a window. Cannot hear motor inside with this going. I bought a second one as the first one I had died. Lasted about 2 years fairly continuous use outdoors. Was easy to change out to new pump but will depend on how you setup your system.

Our fountain is under a tree and it gets leaves in the water. The leaves break down and eventually clog the filter. So each day it has less and less power to pump. Someone must have a better solution.

No shocks, no electrified water, good flow, and quiet. I have only had it for two weeks, but seems to be working well. A greater variety of adapters including a T would be nice so I could run multiple water features. Removing the plastic filter improves the water flow markedly. Mine did not come with a sponge filter. I only use it to run water features, not to run my pond filter. I have now been running it all summer, and it is still working fine for my small waterfall.

A good reliable aquarium pump by Kedsum. I use it to run the Coralife TurboTwist UV sterilizer in my sump. It worked right out of the box and is still working. A great alternative to Rio pumps which have severely declined in quality.

First pump purchase was initially great. Plenty of lift, just as advertised. Connected it to a timer system for my hydroponic and off we went. About 60 days in, it started having issues with generating the lift. Did all the usual stuff of cleaning it and such. No apparent reason as to why it was failing. Honestly, this thing worked a lot better than I thought it would. I have this hooked up to a backup battery to use as a secondary emergency sump pump in case my first emergency pump fails.
