This is because the outer diameter of the insulation of individual CAT6a conductors is approximately 1.10mm. The overall cable diameter is approx. 7.2 mm. Make sure any endings you choose work. Example: An ideal CAT6 RJ-45 loop-through does not work under any circumstances.
