TLDR: Better for cats than standard dog sweaters.DETALS: The pattern and single armhole are better for cat bodies and movements. Our cat perfectly fit a Medium. She's 9-10 lbs, 15" from collar to tailbone.The pattern gives a cat natural range of motion during all normal activities (litterbox, eating, walking, up/down steps, sitting, sleeping in any position). The Medium is loose enough to have natural ease for normal activities and general comfort. But it's fitting enough that she won't slip out of it and it stays close to her body for warmth.Fabrication, sewing, and color was nicer than other sweatshirts of the same price. I haven't washed it yet so I don't know how it holds up to stains, pilling, washing, etc. I would buy another in other neutral colors or tasteful pattern.
