NOT SANITARY. and that's fine. You really don't need hygiene.
These are cotton balls. They're not hygienic, but what kind of bag of "hygiene" swabs stays hygienic after opening? I don't use them to wipe blood off a cut. I use them to remove nail polish and remove color stains from clothes with baby oil. If I have hangnails or broken skin, the acetone in the nail polish will burn away any bacteria AND it will hurt like crazy! So don't be fooled, you don't need "hygienic" cotton balls for this level of cleaning. Just know that these bags are huge. I had to break them down into two gallon ziplock bags to put in nail polish boxes to fit.
