Review on Mail Boss 7162 Locking Mailbox by Mark Taylor

This is a heavy duty durable mailbox. I installed it on a stucco wall along the driveway in front of our house and it is very reliable. It doesn't look big in my environment, but if it were attached to the wall of my house it would look bulky. The flag is cheap plastic and doesn't match the solid feel of the rest of the thick steel. I don't know what they were thinking. My biggest complaint is that the access door opens and falls all the way down so accumulated mail just falls out. Yes you can hold the door horizontally but it is heavy and when your keys are hanging on a ring like mine you need 3 hands. I think a chain of lights would be great for limiting how far the door can open and wish there were multiple holes or attachment points for such a chain. I'll come up with something in the spring.
