Review on 🚿 AquaBliss Multi-Stage Shower Filter: Eliminate Itching, Eczema & Acne for Radiant Hair, Nails, and Skin - Chrome SF220 by Josh Clifton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I compared Aquabliss with Aquasana 4100. this is what I found

Hello soul shopper friends! I just moved in and was trying to replace my favorite TerraSpa shower filter I had years ago to get rid of the nasty chlorine (I use a polyurethane drinking water filter). Apparently TerraSpa no longer exists, so the search began again. After reading many reviews and ratings (from Revain and beyond) of these two products, Aquabliss and Aquasana, I ordered both and installed both, one in each bathroom shower, and compared. Here's what I found based on my personal experience and preferences. The Quasana BLOCK is visually large and weighs about 3 pounds, so it's hefty. Aquabliss is about half the size, weighs 1.6 pounds, is significantly shorter, and visually less obtrusive. Both use excellent multi-stage filtration, but the real workhorse in both cases is the KDF-55. Aquabliss adds calcium sulfite and activated charcoal, while Aquasana uses coconut charcoal as an additional "secret sauce." You do not need a wrench for the Aquabliss as it is hand tightened. For Aquasana you NEED a wrench. They both need to be flushed to get rid of excess carbon (dirty black stuff). I would rinse each such filter in cold water for about 2 minutes, then in hot water for at least 2 minutes and cycle the water on and off at least 3 times as this is the first water rinse that should be clean. before use. I have found that one big difference in design is that you can use any shower head you like with Aquabliss as it doesn't affect your choice due to its straight forward design. On the other hand, the Aquasana has its own showerhead, which while nice and adjustable is non-negotiable. I tried using my old Moen shower head on the Aquasana but the design doesn't allow it. If it matters to you, it can be the deciding factor right away. PERFORMANCE As far as chlorine odors go, they're similar in terms of their reduction, but to my ridiculously sensitive nose, the Aquabliss seemed milder and a little cleaner. I then showered with both, same shampoos/soaps, same temperature and again very close feeling of water. As we should all know by now, those pool chlorine tests and shower filter strip tests are somewhat useless, so I didn't even want to waste my (and your) time going there. So, here's what I decided. As the feel is similar and the materials are premium but Aquabliss AN ME smells better, it comes down to cost, ease of installation and shower head flexibility. Replacement filters for the Aquasana cost $52 more than the original unit. In addition, you replace almost the entire base of the device. The Aquabliss is only $15 and you only replace the internal filter. Aquabliss is a winner, at least for my needs. And after a month of use, I upgraded my rating from 4 to 5 stars. :) I hope this helps you better understand the choice. UPDATE 3/22/19 I just changed the filter so it lasted about 6 months. Not bad considering how much chlorine we have here! I've also included a photo of my hair because removing the chlorine helped it grow a bit thicker and healthier. The skin appears less dry and less itchy. Brilliant.
