These come in a nice size and shape, a little on the smallish size from what I was expecting based on the photos, which I am glad for that.they are manageable to work with. Also they are very good quality lapis lazuli pieces. They are the perfect size to put in a purse or pocket and take with you, not bulky.They do come with the zippered pouch shown, I am happy to have something nice to keep them in and not have to come up with my own.They do not seem etched/engraved, maybe I'm wrong. It seems to me that it is paint only. BUT, I rubbed a bit at some of the symbols and the paint seems to be very sturdy.as in you would have to actually try to get the paint off before it would wear down on its own. With gentle to moderate use, these will last a long time.I also bought the Susan Sheppard book on Witches Runes because I want to learn the system fluently.I highly recommend that book as there are not many in depth meanings resources on these besides a basic fact sheet, even online. The book goes into a lot of detail on each rune as well as combinations meanings.I'm happy with my runes and the book together, I may order another set :)
