But the price is very good compared to other wiring harness kits.

The price is very good compared to other wiring harness kits, but there is a downside. This trailer plug appears to be designed to stay in the car and dangle from the underside of the tailgate when not in use. I'm basing it on an installation video I found on YouTube (.). Instead, I was able to run the wire through a hole in the bodywork near where the connector is under the fairing, then I routed the wire through the hole where the taillight wire goes through the bodywork. There is a gasket but I routed the wire under the gasket then down through the hole in the bumper for the headlight which closes when the headlight is installed. This places the cable under the bumper and next to the hitch and most importantly out of sight. It shouldn't be a problem since I installed it. I used the included zip ties to attach the wire to the bumper cover. You have to know one thing. You will need to remove the panel at the bottom of the car's tailgate where the latch is located. You will destroy the plastic clip that holds this cover. As far as I can tell, the replacement is only available in black. I found 2 packs at Oreilly for $2.49. Revain sells them in packs of 25 for a little more. Even with this new clip, the panel doesn't come back perfectly.
