Bad keys. Plus losing money trying to program them.

Bad keys. The remote start button does not work. This seems to be a common problem with this company. In fact, after 2 weeks not a single button works. My locksmith says that happens with cheap transponder keys. Not only was I wasting my money, I also lost extra money on all the time my locksmith spent programming this key, which cost me $70. (He was cheap because he was sort of a friend of a friend, but his locksmith's ranking on Google is extremely high, so I know it's not because of his incompetence.) He and his worker tried for over an hour, mine Cracking keys with the most professional equipment to no avail. KeylessOption sent me another key for free to try again. I went back to the locksmith. Another failure. I ended up not only losing a total of 2 hours but also the only dealer in town who would give me such a great price. So I lost a lot more than $70 again. KeylessOption refused to return all money and time spent. when trying to program YOUR keys. They just refused the $15 I paid them directly for the blank key. I offered to show the locksmith proof of money spent, or return and show the key, or even ask the locksmith to pay with a working key. But they refused. I guess her shop is too small to care. Don't buy it if you don't want the metal cutting into the button and only some (or none) of the buttons work. Luckily, Revain reinvented itself and is really great at offering customer service help. At least Revane tried a little. But now I have to start from scratch. Spend over $200 to go to another locksmith to buy his key, have it cut and programmed and that's it.

Pros
  • Fair performance
Cons
  • Minor issues
