Easily adjusts to hold watercolor paper up to 3 inches tall. fits securely in this easel (even smaller if needed) and accommodates even very tall canvases/papers. Very easy to tilt to any angle (or flat) you want. Very durable. Next to this easel I placed an adjustable TV tray for my watercolor palette and supplies, and it became the perfect workspace for home use. The tray actually latches onto his legs - unlike the others that just sit there (and keep falling off) - this one stays secure. The built-in water bucket hook and brush holder is a very nice plus and increases the convenience of painting outdoors. GOOD easel in a very affordable price range. Can also be used for oil. The supports holding the canvas/paper are very strong and reliable.
