Less than I need. My puppy is a Weimaraner/Shar Pei mix and at 6-7 months of age is usually the perfect environment. When our medium walked in, it was tight on all sides, from the undersized neck to the barely touching strap on the stomach. Her build is more Weimaraner than that of a Shar Pei and she is slim. I think the big one would be perfect for her. I added fabric and turned it into a fiesta dress so I could keep it. At the same time, the fabric is comfortable and light, the colors are bright and the hat is of good quality. From all sides the product was great, but the size wasn't for us.
