Based on the size chart, I bought a "medium" size for my chihuahua who weighs about 8 pounds and is 16 inches long. It proved usable but was a bit large. /long. Small size would fit much better. Damn cute. But he hated the hat! He shook it off 30 seconds after putting it on.

Very cute! Of course I wouldn't leave this on my dog all day, but for a little Convo de Mayo photoshoot it was very cute. I thought the hat would be torturous but it was very comfortable for the dog and the strap is adjustable. The cute poncho also has an adjustable Velcro strap to increase or decrease the size. I recommend!

My dog named Bob - because he jumps like a Mexican Jumping Bob, got this for his birthday. I don't think he was thrilled with my purchase but I was happy and he got more treats for enduring my photo shoot with him in our living room. After all, it was good quality, fit well and was damn funny.

Less than I need. My puppy is a Weimaraner/Shar Pei mix and at 6-7 months of age is usually the perfect environment. The hat is good - SUPER! serape. Well it's not really big. I have no idea which dogs were measured by height, but the size Large does NOT fit most medium breeds (unless they are young puppies). I took the small and large (9lb Chihuahua, 24lb Fox Terrier) and they fit very well! This is a three part article. You have the ruffle detail at the front, the velcro at the back and then you have the beanie (which can be tightened if needed).
