The coexistence of thigh highs in my life just didn't pertain in my world being 5'3 with my height stemming from my torso and not my legs. This created a disadvantage in which the thigh highs pulled past the thigh all the way to the butt, unable to achieve the desired esthetics that appealed to me. Well I haven't grown taller but have grown sideways so to speak with weight gain that presented a new dilemma, still denying me the coexistence I've always wished for. So I didn't mention having a small obsession with heavyweight chunky knit sweaters, that fit w/o discrimination to coexist happily ever after. So when the chunky knit sweater thigh high made it's debut, you can imagine how easy it was to transfer my obsessions to something so ingenious it defied reason as to why this wasn't invented decades ago? It was, 80's/90's just worn differently. Anyway, to my dismay there was no imminent danger of them reaching my butt, or my thighs for that matter. The dream of a coexistence just seemed impossible. But these have renewed the possibilities. The material is so soft and stretches without losing it's shape. These also come with garter belts that initially thought was just decorative lace when viewing the advertisement, but I haven't had the need to use them as they have stayed in place perfectly, including throughout sleep. They still pull up to my butt but I'm ready to accept this minor oversight to short people with no sewing skills for the warmth and bathroom ease they nicely provide.
