With sun protection and moisture wicking, the Columbia Youth Silver Ridge Shorts sound like a dream come true. While functionally as expected, the shorts fall short of what is 'new'. The advertised design is hardly noticeable and lacks the hoped-for flair. But the shorts do their job well and are comfortable to wear. If you're looking for functional shorts these are fine, but don't expect too much from the design.
