I think it works wonders, but I had to buy regular milk thistle for my cat. It comes in capsules, so the powder can be mixed with food. My problem with this particular drug (SAMe 100mg) is that it is too big for my little cat. I even took her to the vet and he approved. My cat is 6 pounds, they will be good for my doxies that are 10 pounds. Pills should be labeled in pounds, not "for small dogs and cats". First, cats are not very good at swallowing pills and there is a chance that any pills could get stuck in their esophagus and cause corrosion in the esophageal tissue. My little chihuahua is 5 pounds and they would be too big for him. So my complaint isn't about whether the medication works or not, it's about the size and the 'for small dogs and cats' labeling on the side. It should read "for dogs and cats 10lbs+)
