I suspect this item is used and not new. The box it came in is pretty rough. One of the corners was dented. The outer cardboard cover looks like it is wet because the printed paper on the cardboard is completely inflated. After removing the case, I noticed a dried white powdery substance clinging to the inside of the case that was gritty to the touch. It shouldn't be anthrax! I give 1 star. April 2021 Update this HDMI KVM after using it for about 9 months. This works very well. I have 3 laptops and a server attached to them. Very solid performance, with almost no issues except one. The problem is rather annoying. The star key on the keyboard does not work. I struggled with my wireless keyboard and eventually narrowed the issue down to KVM. I saw another review a minute ago that mentioned the same thing. I wonder if a wired keyboard will work well? Also, the white powdery substance on the box wasn't anthrax, so I'm changing my rating to 4 stars.
