If you eat a lot of rice, the Zojirushi Rice Cooker is absolutely worth the money. I thought my regular $10 Kohl's rice cooker did a pretty good job. That is, until I tried the rice that Zojirushi makes. Every grain of rice in the pressure cooker is cooked perfectly and evenly. There is no slightly overcooked rice on the bottom, no undercooked or overcooked rice. I can set a timer before work and come home in the evening to cook rice. This particular unit is small and intended for a family of 2 or 3 people. I really had no idea how much better rice could be until I started using this thing. But beware: producing good rice takes time. You need to cook the rice for an hour or more before it's done. Some cycles are very long, like the GABA cycle which lasts 3.5 hours. There is a "quick" setting that cooks white rice in about half an hour, but I don't use it because I want my rice to taste as good as possible. Overall, I'm very happy with Zojirushi. The little songs he plays are funny. The instructions are well written and clear. The device feels very premium and well designed throughout.
