Review on Hankook Tire Winter i*Pike RS2 W429 215/55 R17 91T by Adam Edison ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

consumed over the course of three years! This rubber is fantastic in my opinion! Soft, does not tan, ice and uphill - rows and rides, does not blunt in thick snow, spikes do not fly out, really quiet (compared to other competitors), and I do not see wear on the product. The fact that there is not a 20th radius was a major letdown for me. I had planned on purchasing this rubber for use in another vehicle; however, I am now faced with a decision. I AM VERY COMMITTED TO THIS! (before, there existed a pirelli ice zero r16, which was a sturdy solid rubber that had good handling in all weather, but it was very loud) I wish everyone success.

Pros
  • R19 245/45 has already been driven approximately 2200 kilometers (all of the spikes are in place), and it climbs effortlessly and without slipping on an ice road uphill at 10-15 degrees. It is very quiet and soft. It snows well, it is difficult to break into a skid because it clings well to snow porridge and ice, on dry pavement I didn't notice that the rubber floats as they wrote in other comments, with my radius and width it stands rooted to the spot even in a rut both in plus and minus temperature, pleasantly slaps at the joints, but it seemed to me that my summer Continental works harder at the joints. These tires were good for all four seasons! Completely content! When you row in the snow and ice, your spikes won't come loose! The tires performed admirably (both in terms of emergency braking and avoiding collisions) despite the several extremely hazardous scenarios that occurred on the roads. He was absolutely correct, the rubber is quite gentle and silent (many people argue that studded tires cannot be quiet, but maybe! Summer Kama is 3 times noisier!)
Cons
  • 1) An unpleasant sediment was left behind as a result of the fact that after 1200 kilometers it had flown into the hole of the cut piece of asphalt that was being prepared for laying fresh asphalt; the disc had perforated two cord threads, which resulted in a hernia being expelled. The sidewall is significantly more forgiving than that of the Pirelli Ice Zero. I have flown into potholes with this rubber for three consecutive winters, and nothing at all has been damaged. But perhaps it's just my fault, and the impact was far more forceful than on the pirelli. Additionally, the height of the profile on the pirelli 65 is significantly greater than the height of the profile on the hankook 45. 2) It appeared that the rubber wiggles a little bit, and the stopping distance seemed to be a little longer than it was on the same Pirelli while applying emergency braking (maintain your distance; doing so will keep you safer). ate after three years of operation on dry pavement, when braking, a tiny roll and a longer braking distance (compared to summer tires), but everything is predictable and nothing major has happened! There were no further occurrences of hernias. The one I wrote about had a patch sewn on it, and as a result, it does not protrude at all today.
