Great entry-level field monitor and great company

This is my first field monitor so I have no comparison. For the price this is a good buy. Pros 1/2-20 Bottom and side mounts Can handle 4k inputs (downscaling to native resolution) Built-in headphone jack and speakers (now you can control audio on Canon cameras) HDMI pass-through connection - enables connection of a second monitor (a huge plus for me - no additional splitter required) Attached flip-up visor - very neat Comes with mini and micro HDMI cables - very pretty - menu wheel can be tedious to use. There's no quick access to volume (the volume controls are deep in the menu), so you could unintentionally trigger a feedback loop through your cameras. The microphone is a bit late - definitely not for fast action. on the household. This primarily aids in framing and focusing - the colors are slightly different, so I wouldn't use this for color. What I haven't tried yet: Sunlight - I've mostly used it indoors - the screen doesn't look like it can handle much glare, but the built-in sunshade should help combat that, attached to the gimbal. (I use this with my tripod) Update: 02/28/2019 - There have been some issues with my monitor and Viltrox have made a real effort to provide excellent customer service. My customer service rep, Koko, was a great communicator despite the huge time zone differences. Viltrox replaced my monitor without question. Viltrox stands behind its products. I will continue to do business with them.
