not what I expected

4k sounded good but my regular camera LCD screen was of much better quality. It's really difficult to understand the science of color between my canon and this product. I constantly had to turn the camera on and off to find the right camera setting for the best image quality. Thank goodness for real time footage on my cannon or I'd be screwed.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • There are flaws

This works very well, but I have an old 800x400 Feelworld model.

This works pretty well but I have an old Feelworld 800x400 model and the text is easier to read. But for 115 it's pretty good, I can focus 80d with it, the menu is tricky due to the knob on the side and you have to rotate the row of menus but it works, I was able to calibrate this for my retina macbook pro screen and/or my canon 80d screen

  • Nice

I recommend this product!

I didn't expect the monitor to be so clear! The video is very clear! I especially like barn doors. They attach to the monitor and fold for easy storage. However, NOTHING is perfect. I didn't like the tiny volume button that doubles as a menu selection. It's not very durable so I wouldn't trust its longevity. I believe they should have assigned a separate button. All in all I would recommend this monitor. Nice picture, lots of professional features for the price.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • A trifle

Makes video shooting much easier

Good price and it will make filming much easier with a larger field of view to see changes in focus. I've found that when using a Nikon D5100 you need to lower the fps in the camera settings from 30 to 24 to use the monitor while shooting live. It took me and a friend two days to search the web, so I decided to share this information to save time for other Nikon D5100 users. I think this should make filming a lot easier and I'm glad it comes at a price.

  • Dope 🔥

Color loss, menu screen

This is the second Viltrox monitor of this model that I have owned. I bought the first one about two years ago and it was great, no problems until the day it turned on but stopped showing a picture. Keep in mind that it was only used once a week during the ten-game football season. I bought another one in July 2018 and was a bit disappointed that the color wasn't as sharp and crisp. The menu screen has been moved to the top left corner instead of the right side of the monitor screen. It also…

Mine looks like a return. See update below

Although it works, my monitor arrived with fingerprints on the screen and static film barely hanging on the screen. To me it's like someone's comeback. I'm not crazy about paying full price for something that doesn't look new. I'll try it in the next few days. I hope there are no major problems. The picture quality on the screen is very good when connected to my Canon 80D. I will update if necessary. UPDATE 2/17/2019 I was finally able to use it at a local indoor event and it worked flawlessly.

Great entry-level field monitor and great company

This is my first field monitor so I have no comparison. For the price this is a good buy. Pros 1/2-20 Bottom and side mounts Can handle 4k inputs (downscaling to native resolution) Built-in headphone jack and speakers (now you can control audio on Canon cameras) HDMI pass-through connection - enables connection of a second monitor (a huge plus for me - no additional splitter required) Attached flip-up visor - very neat Comes with mini and micro HDMI cables - very pretty - menu wheel can be…
