About a day after I installed it in the morning I noticed that the underside of the zipper was covered with flies. I found it interesting that it appears to attract them, but not necessarily kill them. I took this opportunity to take care of those outside the zapper with my Bug-A-Salt pistol. When I opened the bottom compartment, there were definitely dead bugs in there. After being up and running for about a week it definitely clears bugs overnight so I think it's doing its job. We really feel like there are fewer mosquitoes and maybe fewer flies.
