This is the third adapter I've gone through. I received it on January 24th and on the 26th the problems with it started. My phone said it detected water, which is not true. I started hearing static no matter what I did. It's now the 31st and it's not fully working anymore. The only way to get sound is to hold it at a certain angle, which is useless as it's in my pocket most of the time. I ended up with these crappy adapters. I ended up with a "flashing" connection because the Apple headphones and any I bought afterward came back almost immediately. And I take care of my things. It's a complete joke that I used 4 pairs of headphones and 3 adapters and still haven't had this phone for a year. I've refused to buy Airpods because I don't like having my phone to my ear, let alone having Bluetooth in my brain all the time. But the thing is, maybe I don't have a choice. DO NOT BUY THIS ADAPTER UNLESS YOU WANT TO KEEP IT FOR SOUND AND AS STATIC CURRENT IN YOUR OH DAMN.
