I received mine damaged and am refunding instead of a replacement for 4 reasons1. The chair is not low enough. I'm 5ft 7in and my heels don't touch the ground even if I lean back a little. 2. The footrest is not rigid, it sags dangerously under the weight of my feet. 3. The back does not bend. There's a tension adjustment, so when I let go of the recline lever it wants to go to the horizontal position whenever you want it and then bounce with you when you sit back down, similar to regular office chairs (but only the backrest moves, not the seat). However, the seat was comfortable and the base was very strong welded heavy gauge steel, much better than the regular plastic base found on most office chairs.
