Bought to replace a much more expensive unit that works the same. HOWEVER, this one is much better. The previous device was affected by sunlight, and when the sunlight flickered in your cabin, as it does when driving, the device kept opening and closing unless the phone was in the cradle. This has a real proximity sensor that only works when you get close to the phone. GREAT! In addition, opening and closing is almost noiseless. My previous one made a loud buzz every time it opened/closed. Aggravating. So far there is everything to love. And the chrome and black trim elements complete the interior of my car perfectly. Very happy.
