Review on Wahl 5-Star Legend Clipper #8147 for Professional Use by Aneta Krawczyk ᠌

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

Many years ago, twice in my life I held clippers in my hands and cut two people's hair. Their machines, sheared at their own request. This is where my experience with cars ended))) During the period of self-isolation, for about two months I was pretty overgrown, but the hairdressers were still closed and I decided to buy myself a typewriter. First I chose a household one, showed it to my hairdresser, sort of consulted. But hairdresser Nazira said that she would have chosen a more professional model and gave me three brands that she likes. I listened to the advice of a professional and chose this model. Well, of course I chose in appearance. It was this model that appealed to me. I don’t put a lot of photos, because that’s how it is on advertising photos - it’s like that in real life))) Therefore, I put one photo to show that I have a car and that’s it))) There were models on batteries, but I decided to buy on the wire. The logic here was simple. If this is a professional who uses the machine all day, then of course the wire can interfere. A professional will constantly put it on recharging and everything will be fine. But I will use it once a month, and obviously it will be discharged, then it will need to be recharged . well, in short, I decided that let it be on the wire, it’s not so much in the way, but it’s reliable, plug it into the outlet and use . Out of habit, for the first time, my hand got tired, I held it too tightly, I was afraid to drop it. The second time already held more confidently. Well, for the third and subsequent times, I no longer thought that it would fall out of my hands, I already thought with which nozzle I should straighten my temples, and which one to cut the back of my head or top of my head. I liked cutting myself so much that I began to do it almost every week. It's not that I cut straight, I just straighten it. It cuts off two or three millimeters, but how neat it looks))) Well, what, we shave ourselves, so why can’t we just make ourselves a neat and well-groomed haircut, of course, if it’s simple, I’m far from complex))) I am happy with the machine, I like it.

Pros
  • The machine is professional, with excellent knives, with several nozzles of different lengths. Comfortably lies in the hand. Looks very good. Made with high quality . well, in any case, that's the impression it gives, but I think that's exactly how it really is. Tips with rounded teeth to move smoothly over the head. But on a pair of nozzles in the places of rounding, there seemed to be small burrs made of plastic. Apparently, when they are cast, such protruding thin surpluses of plastic, less than a millimeter, remain. But I don’t even attribute this to shortcomings, I felt that they scratched my head a little, well, just a little . I took a nail file and very carefully polished each tooth two or three times with this file. And that's it. And they polished off. Just pram here two or three times along the tooth - whack-whack-whack and it's ready, and it became very smooth. And all other nozzles have already been polished, I did not touch them in terms of grinding.
Cons
  • I did not find any shortcomings. Perhaps they don't exist at all. Someone refers to the disadvantages of a sharp start of the engine, excessive noise and vibration. But a sharp start - it turns out this is a type of engine that turns on just like that: not smoothly, does not pick up speed gradually, but sharply, immediately. The fact that the machine makes a certain noise . well, it cannot be completely silent. Well, what vibrates . well, yes, there is some kind of vibration, but I do not consider all this to be shortcomings.
