Remote control became a problem when I discovered my laptop only had an additional HDMI output. I wanted to work on two monitors without spending money on a docking station. I took this adapter and it works like a charm. Without drivers, the device was recognized by my laptop and the monitor quickly recognized my 1440p display. No screen tearing or flickering issues were encountered as I changed my settings to match the screen's native resolution. The device also has a microphone input and a headphone jack. I haven't tested them as I haven't found a use case as my devices are already connected to their respected computers. Also keep in mind that this is for production only, as the 60Hz capabilities imply. Don't rely on this adapter for gaming unless you have V-Sync enabled and want to use a lower refresh rate. For my production needs this fits the bill and is a great pickup
