Review on Skechers Expected 2 0 Arago Canvas Loafer by Antonio Cummings

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The perfect urban slippers. Perfection!

I rode a few miles in the full size version of this shoe and got compliments on it. Yeah, maybe hard to believe, they seem to be causing controversy among fashion lovers (and some girlfriends)? Either you have someone who thinks they're hot or you don't. I think less about fashion in general, I just want comfortable casual shoes that I can put on and take off (in 1.5 seconds according to Her Majesty's Secret Service requirements). They work and look good enough, especially when they get nicknames like "moon shoes" which I really like. Unfortunately, while the first version was fine, it was a semi-amazing effort. First I had to trim the elastic at the top so it wasn't too tight and cut into the top of the foot. Second, they were clearly too narrow and looked that way on me and others. Most normal human legs (especially tall and tall males) just aren't shaped like short, flat skis, are they? I mean I hope if your feet are the same as the standard version they should be good on rough terrain in winter? Turn it on friend! However, I could deal with comfort advantages that can be easily shifted. Granted, I have broad, tall, and long mutant legs that probably only 52% of tall and tall males have. I don't have any scientific data on cross-sectional examinations of the foot, but this seems to be common around 6'3" to 6'7" frames in size 215-50. Last time I checked before quarantine, there seemed to be a lot of us. Luckily, enter the Sketchers Expected 2.0-Arago Extra Wide "Relaxed" Fit. This is for us BIG and BIG mutants who love these shoes. Almost as if you read my mind and legs. With long-lasting, light active comfort, support, good grip and above all gliding in use. Plus they even look better. Well done drawers considering we seem to have VERY HUGE feet in this demographic (btw you can even make the elastics a bit wider and stretchier considering some of us wear socks too, that's all good).

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
