Very Good Straws - Feeding

I needed a straw to replace my daughter's travel mugs from Simple Goods and these were the only ones I could find with a retaining ring in the middle. I wish there were more colors to choose from but I can't complain about the price. As others have mentioned, the top anti-spill valve starts to go bad pretty quickly, but since my daughters aren't toddlers yet, just cutting off that part isn't a deal breaker.

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Some Errors

Great for steel glasses

Perfect for what I need! I bought this mug from Walmart and didn't like the straw it came with. It was plastic and didn't have a lanyard to keep it from slipping out. They fit perfectly in this mug and my daughter is so happy with it! After reading the reviews, I clipped the valve and cut it at an angle for easier drinking. The cork keeps the straw in the cup, I can even lift the whole cup with the straw!

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Out of fashion

The leak-proof part of the straw is easy to chew and swallow

This straw has silicone on one end with an X-shaped hole to prevent spills. However, I was horrified to realize that my child had bitten off some of the pieces making the hole and must have swallowed them. She likes to "chew" straws when drinking. I would only recommend these straws if you cut off the moisture proof end of the straw, which is easy to do. Then you lose the "Leak Protection” benefit.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Some bugs

Great replacement for plastic straws in water bottles!

We're trying to be plastic-free with our kids, so we used them with Boon's non-spill silicone lids for regular cups. I was happy that when I cut them to fit a thermos funtainer bottle they make a great substitute for the plastic straw that came with them, which was my only complaint about this bottle. Remember to cut off the cotton side of the straw so both ends are wide open. Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Style 90

Fits perfectly with Replay Cups.

I bought these for my 2 year old. They fit perfectly. I love that you can't pull them out! The valve was fairly watertight until they started biting off what I believe was my little one. She tends to slide them into the cup because they're quite flexible. The brush for cleaning is good and all, but the brush itself should be a bit wider. You need to squeeze the straw while cleaning to clean the inside. Overall, however, I am satisfied with the purchase.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Great straws for toddlers who bite!

I bought these straws instead of the plastic straws that came with my Replay cups and they fit perfectly. My daughter chewed on the plastic cups that came with the cups, rendering them almost useless - wish Replay included something like this instead! Even though they have a valve at the top my daughter can still drink thick smoothies from them which is a huge plus! We haven't had any leakage issues either. It's hard to find kids straws/cups that are spill proof and still suitable for thicker…

Pros
  • Great for a small home

Choking Hazard - Solid Lining

UPDATE: So we used them without the valve after I cut it off. but still part of the lace came off when my kid used it. Then no. I do not recommend these straws. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Well the straw is great, we have tried so many silicone straws and keep coming back to them because the material, the width, the brush that comes with it is great. BUT! The valve is a choking hazard, my kid suddenly took a piece of the valve out of his mouth while drinking his smoothie, so I cut off the tip of the straw

Pros
  • Nice Packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Perfect! Feeding Guide

I bought these straws to use in my baby's silicone cups (trying to find an easy alternative to spill-proof plastic cups). I've found that when I put them through the spout (not up like I thought because of the cork, but no) I just have to give a good tug to get the cork through. Because the straw is thicker and stronger than Sillipint straws, it's actually quite dense (my son didn't even try to pull it out). I love that they have both a stopper and a leak guard at the end of the straw! Why has…
