Although it has been claimed many times that this device has a 'gigabit' ethernet port, my extensive testing has shown this to be false. These devices have a 100 Mbit/s Ethernet port. Unfortunately they included this to reduce costs as it is older technology. Even the Raspberry Pi manages to produce with a gigabit port. A sub-$100 computer might include a 1Gbps Ethernet port, but not this hub. Otherwise, the HUB does its job, except for the possibility of charging the device with it. However, in hindsight I would have made a different choice and picked a different competitor if I had known they lied throughout their product description.
