I'll start with the build quality. This is doubtful. I have ordered two. One came with an open crack between the two halves of the plastic case due to improper assembly of the device. Luckily I was able to disassemble and reassemble it. It's worth noting that there are no rubber grommets or other seals to prevent water from entering the main body. The two rubber caps that were black in the product photos are actually yellow. They are very flexible and appear to provide a good seal when inserted into vessels. (The only seal in the entire product.) However, when they're not in their sockets, they're hanging between the two sockets by a very, very thin strip of rubber. It's not hard to imagine them accidentally being ripped off, but that's not even the biggest problem with them. Connecting two cables at the same time is almost impossible because the product's two sockets are close enough together and the hanging covers get in the way. To insert the second plug, you need to press the covers hard. It seems inevitable that the rubber covers will be ripped off. If the designers had hung the covers in a different direction, this problem could have been avoided. Similar products all get it right. Only Meross is wrong. (It's worth noting that Meross offers another version of this product - the same model number but a different case - that solves this problem while creating another.) The biggest design issue for me is this product's plug - the one that comes in . into an outlet. This is a product designed for outdoor use. It is imperative for the designer to assume that it will be connected to a protective case, but again, Meross is wrong. The connector points downward at a 90 degree angle. That means if you plug it into the top socket, you can't use the bottom socket. If you plug it into the bottom socket, you can't close the atmospheric case door. If you want to use two such devices together, forget it. You can not. Attaching the cable to the connector at a 45 degree angle would completely solve this problem. As it is, there is no solution. So is there anything good about this product? Absolutely. Connecting to HomeKit was easy. Once you switch your iPhone to the product's dedicated Wi-Fi signal during setup, everything works exactly as it should. And the product allows you to control each outlet independently. In fact, this product functionally fits the bill. Unfortunately, its physical design is a deal killer.
