The perfect *medium* shoulder bag. I'm emphasizing medium because a number of reviewers dismissed this as too small/not as large as expected. However, I already had a large Sak Pax slung over my shoulder (discontinued but makes a great holdall - holds literally everything) and wanted something smaller and lighter for errands. Silverlake's dimensions (clearly stated on the website) say it fits my needs, and it does. CONVENIENT: The main compartment fits a large wallet, a small comb, a small cosmetic bag, etc., probably even one of the small water bottles. The zippered compartment runs the full width and depth of the wallet and fits other goodies. The strap is easily adjustable and because it's part leather and part webbing, it can be conveniently positioned as a crossbody or over the shoulder bag. The back welt pocket holds my iPhone 6+. EXTERIOR: Nicely soft leather case with relaxed texture and copper rivets giving it a small but not flashy look. Two leather strips are attached to the zipper, which not only serve as decorative elements, but also help to open the bag. I personally have seen many discussions about tobacco skin color. Both Revain and the Sak website show a very dark, rich brown, almost chestnut, in contrast to the lighter Tobacco Fringe, which borders on a shade of yellow. The bag I received falls somewhere in between, but closer to a deep, rich brown. I assume that there are natural variations in the dyeing process. CONS: So far the only downside is that the zip is tight and when the bag arrived the zip got stuck in the corners. I think it gets easier with use, and there's always an easy application of the candle wax trick when it doesn't. Does not violate the terms of the contract. BONUS: I watched the price of this bag rise and fall using the Revain algorithm, waiting for a price point where I was ready to pull the trigger as it was more of a "want" than a "need". " Then came a stock offer in exactly the color I wanted - it was said to be new but untagged and in its original packaging. I knew I had to carefully check everything that arrived for damage and authenticity, but same revain 30 day guarantee/refund policy applied so I took a chance getting this bag for next to nothing and am very happy with the bag and the offer.
