The general appearance of the hair dryer strikes me as very pleasing. The pure white color with gold accents is simple and polished. Like other more expensive hair dryers, this one uses ionic technology to keep hair healthy, shiny and dry faster. Very quiet. As for the speeds - there are two of them - one is very low and the other is high. Low would probably be good for punches. I plan to ride at high speed most of the time. The temperature gets warm enough to dry my hair without feeling hot. It didn't smell like chemicals either when you used it for the first time or after using it more often. There was no flickering or power issues either. The hair dryer almost seems to be weighted in a certain way. When I first picked it up, it felt heavy. Then when I tilted it back the weight was transferred to the back of the hair dryer and it seemed much lighter. It's actually very easy to hold - not heavy at all on the wrist or hands. The cold start switch is probably one of my favorite things. It doesn't have to be held. If you click it, it will remain locked until you click it again. I was also pleasantly surprised at how cool it turned out. I always found myself going back to it when drying my hair. I even let my fiancé come into the room to feel how good the cold air is. My only concern is that the cold shot switch felt like it was loosening the more I used it. I wish this hair dryer was a little cheaper but it might be if you get what you pay for. I should mention that I've used other hair dryers that were either hotter or faster (none had better cooling), but this hair dryer is just the complete package.
